When is it an Emergency? 

If you think you are experiencing a dental emergency or are not sure whether your situation is an emergency or not, the following will help you to assess if you should call Wow Dental and be seen right away:

Pain and Swelling - If you are experiencing a severe amount of pain accompanied by gum swelling, you need to see an emergency dentist. This could be the sign of a serious infection or abscess that needs to be treated. 

Knocked-out or Loose Teeth – If a tooth has been knocked out or loose, it is important to see our Detroit emergency dentist right away. If you still have the tooth, you can bring it with you to your appointment and our dentists will do their best to try to save it when possible. Keep it in a container of milk or saline/contact solution and bring it to our office immediately.

Broken Teeth – If you suddenly chipped your tooth, it is important to have it fixed within the next hour or two. Broken teeth can cause discomfort and lead to additional damage if not treated quickly. If a large area broke off, try to locate the tooth fragment and bring it with you.

Traumatic Injury – If you’ve been in an accident or suffered an injury to your face, it is a good idea to have your teeth checked as well. Sometimes the damage is not visible and can be missed.
